Volunteer and Service Opportunities
Will You Be a Helper?
There are many volunteer and service opportunities at our church.
Helpers are always needed. Helpers are always wanted. Helpers are
always special and greatly appreciated. Will you please be a helper?
So how can you help? Stewardship, for one thing. Reminding everyone
that the bills come year round, the church staff members need their
salaries, the homeless need to be fed, missionaries are in the field,
etc. The church must depend on each member doing his or her part on a
regular basis. That is our responsibility and our privilege.
We must also carry on our stewardship of service: lining up teachers for
Sunday school, finding volunteers for the nursery, ushers for worship
services, recruiting greeters, kitchen workers, counselors for summer
camps, youth counselors, people to help build Habitat for Humanity
homes, etc. We need talented people to help freshen up our church
newsletter and people to work on special events.

Sound Board
Third Church is in need of additional sound board operators especially
for the 8:30am service. No prior experience is necessary we will
gladly train you. Sitting in the booth and watching a service will take
all the mystery away! Talk to any current operator or call Duane Matter
at 354-4315 for additional information.
Can you help with Skate Church?
For the past year a number of very willing individuals have been
supplying cookies and fruit for out skaters on Monday and Thursday
evenings Thanks to all of you!
We find ourselves, however, in need of some more volunteers to help keep
the cookies and fruit flowing! Beginning this Sunday, the 31st, there
will be a sign-up sheet by the coffee pots. The sign-up sheet contains
all the necessary details. Please prayerfully consider joining this
important ministry!
Ushers
Next years ushering schedule is being formulated soon. We would love
to have more volunteers for the 11:00am and 6:00pm services. All
interested parties (male or female) may contact Rod VanderWerff by phone
