Third
Church offers a number of ministry opportunities and programs that
encourage Bible study and fellowship.
Life Transformation Groups
The purpose of Life Transformation Groups (Small Group
Ministry) is to connect people relationally in groups (ideally 4 - 10
persons) for the purpose of growing in Christ likeness, loving one
another, and contributing to the work of the church, in order to glorify
God and make disciples of all nations."

Women's Ministry
Women's Ministries is a program that encourages Bible study and
fellowship at various times in order to meet busy schedules and demands
of the women in Third Church and in the community.

Men's Ministries is a program that encourages Bible study and
fellowship at various times in order to meet busy schedules and demands
of the men in Third Church and in the community.

New Member's Classes
Weekly meetings for those who desire to join our church or learn more
about what we believe. The class is held in 6 - 8 weeks periods on
Wednesdays at 7:30 PM at various times during the year.
Fellowship Groups
The congregation is divided up into fellowship groups for closer
fellowship and support. Households get together for social activities,
and offer care and support for
each other in times of joy and sorrow. Regular visitors are placed in a
household if they desire.
Senior Gatherings and Excursions
Special activities are planned throughout the year to promote fellowship
among our senior members. Activities include educational speakers, bus
tours, travelogues, and other social gatherings.
Choir
The adult choir meets every Wednesday at 7:30 PM, September through May,
to prepare for singing regularly at worship services. New members are
welcome.
Orchestra
The talents of musical instrumentalists are needed at various times
throughout the year. Soloists, ensembles, and an orchestra play as
scheduled in congregational worship. Call the church office if you have
a musical talent to share.
Life Recovery
A 12 step recovery program for chemically dependent men and women, based
on a Christian support group. Meetings are on Tuesdays at 7:30 - 9:00 PM
year round, in the basement of the educational wing of the church.
Nursery is available. Call the church office (354-1448) for more
information.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are many volunteer and service opportunities at Third
Church, in our community, and in our nation and in the world.

Friendship Group
A worship and Bible study for the developmentally disables meets on the
second and fourth Tuesday of each month, September through May. The
strength of this program is in the one-on-one time with teacher and
student. Group singing is followed by a group Bible lesson. Following
the lesson, teacher-student pairs separate to retell the Bible story and
do an activity. Our hour ends with refreshments and social time.
Friendship Group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at
7:30 PM, from late September through mid May, in the Fireside Room. Call
